What’s going on at the Hotel Arcalod in Doussard on the edge of Lake Annecy....

Rowing ont he Rhone river from Bourget lake to méditerranée sea
Saturday 14 August 2010Brice et Jules ont réalisé à la rame en moins de 3 semaines le parcours mythique de 500 km.
Le courant régulé par de nombreux barrages hydroélectriques n'est jamais fort malgré le concours de puissants affluents, Saône, Isère, Ardèche, Durance.
il a donc fallu souquer ferme du matin au soir et pas question d'avoir la rame !!!
Camping sauvage sur la berge au gré du parcours, sur les galets à l'occasion ou hébergement royal chez des amis comme à Avignon ou à Valence chez Léo.
Parcours du combattant pour contourner à pied les écluses en portant le lourd canoë , sauf lorsqu' une camionnette bienveillante vous prend en autostop.
idem sur le fleuve quand un bateau à moteur offre une corde bienvenue pour une tracté sur quelque kilomètres.
ils sont rentrés fourbus mais heureux d'avoir été au bout de leur rêve.
